Clients pick a slot in your hours and pay your price up front — into your own Stripe account. You are the merchant; we take no commission.
An e-journal you own
Every job you close here is logged with its date, parties, ID method and document fingerprint, exportable as CSV or JSON. Keep it alongside any journal your state or your RON platform requires — it doesn't replace one.
Records anyone can verify
Each document's fingerprint goes on a public, append-only ledger. A recipient drops the file on your verification page and sees whether it is unchanged — no account, and the file never leaves their device.

Self Service Notary does not perform notarizations and is not a RON platform. It is not on any state's approved RON vendor list. You keep your state-approved RON platform for the remote session, the identity proofing and the recording your state requires — and the notarial act is yours, under your commission.

Is Self Service Notary a RON platform?
No. It is practice software for commissioned notaries. It is not a remote online notarization platform and is not on any state's approved RON vendor list. The remote session runs on the state-approved RON platform you already use.
Does Self Service Notary perform or record the notarization?
No. You perform the notarial act, under your commission, on your RON platform — along with the identity proofing and session recording your state requires there. Self Service Notary handles the work before and after: intake, ID pre-check, booking, payment, your e-journal and verifiable records.
Which RON platforms does it work with?
It doesn't plug into any particular RON platform; it runs beside whichever one your state has approved and you use. Your client prepares the job on your portal, and you run the session on your platform as you do today.
Can I use it in my state?
It is software you can use wherever you hold a commission. Whether you may perform remote online notarization, and on which platforms, is set by your state and your commission — confirm that with your commissioning authority. Nothing here is legal advice.
Who gets paid, and do you take a cut?
You do. Client payments go into your own Stripe account and you are the merchant of record. We charge no per-session fee and no commission on what you charge; card fees are the payment provider's.
